Massage/ Soft Tissue techniques

This component of our physiotherapy service involves the skilful hands on restoration of mobility to the soft tissues and joints.

The manipulative sciences of soft tissue techniques have been used for thousands of years to relax muscles, eliminate spasms, flush toxins, diminish fatigue, soften connective tissue, offload entrapped nerves, increase the pliability of scar tissue, free up joints and restoring full pain free movement.

Karl has a wealth of manipulative techniques (You can find in the list of manual treatments) accrued over several years along with thousands of hours of clinical application. What makes his expertise so unique is his ability to apply precision, power, intuition, purpose and intention to restore function to injured tissue. Karl’s clinical reasoning for selecting the correct soft tissue technique is drawn from a solid foundation steeped in functional anatomy & physiology, human biomechanics, neurodynamics, and fascial interconnections. The overall goal is to establish structural integration of all of the soft tissues. This is achieved by helping to reorganise distorted tissues, normalising sensorimotor systems which improve the bodies overall kinesthetic intelligence, resulting in smooth, coordinated and more graceful movements.

In the great words of Dean Juhan
He reveals that touch is one of the principle elements necessary for the successful development and functional organisation of the Central nervous system and is vital to our existence as food, water and breath.
